Former Avshar Head Returns $261K in Embezzled Property

The former head of the Avshar community has restored the damage caused to the community, equivalent to 261 thousand US dollars.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported on November 26, 2024, that based on a motion filed by the prosecutor, the former head of the Avshar community returned 3 embezzled real estate properties worth 78 million 259 thousand drams to the Ararat community:

A land plot of 0.37602 ha and warehouses of 1211.74 sq.m. located on H. Shiraz street, worth about 55.5 million drams and leased for a monthly rent of 115 thousand drams.
A land plot of 0.0622 ha located on H. Shiraz street, worth 759 thousand drams.
A land plot of 0.966 ha and the former collective farm building of 416.6 sq.m. located on H. Shiraz street, worth about 22 million drams and leased for a monthly rent of 445 thousand drams.
