Forest Fire Breaks Out Near Military Unit in Tavush, Armenia

On September 3, employees of the Tavush regional department of the Ministry of Environment's Eco-Patrol Service received a fire outbreak alert.

It turned out that the fire broke out in the area of the firing positions of a military unit adjacent to the "Artsvaberd Forestry" branch of the "Hayantar" SNCO of the Ministry of Environment and the adjacent forest area.

Involved in the firefighting efforts were 10 employees from the Ijevan and Artsvaberd sections of the Tavush regional department of the Ministry of Environment's Eco-Patrol Service, 7 combat crews from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service, more than 40 volunteers, and 8 units of equipment were involved.

The fire spread in the territory of the Norashen forestry of the "Artsvaberd Forestry" branch, and firefighting efforts are currently ongoing.
