Flame for 2026 Olympic Games Lit in Greece

The flame for the 2026 Olympic Games has been lit in Greece. The flame was solemnly handed over to the first torchbearer, the 2024 Olympic bronze medalist in rowing, Petros Gkaidatzis.

He opened the nine-day relay, which, with the participation of 450 athletes, will pass through dozens of cities and historical sites in Greece, including Pyrgos, Patras, Thessaloniki, and Athens.
