Fine for Jaywalking in Armenia Doubles to 10,000 AMD

The fine for crossing the street in a section not intended for pedestrians has doubled.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports this. If previously administrative liability was provided for such a violation in the amount of five times the minimum wage, i.e., five thousand drams, now the amount of liability is 10 thousand drams.

The amendment to the RA Code "On Administrative Offenses," initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has been in force since August 2.
