On September 29, a group of relatives of missing persons gathered in front of the Ministry of Defense. They are demanding a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff, Edvard Asryan, Kamo Vardanyan, and the former Head of Intelligence. The relatives mentioned that this week, on the anniversary of the 44-day war, they were promised that a meeting would take place on Monday with "the people they want to see."
The situation on the ground became tense as the relatives were told that Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan would receive three representatives. The relatives stated that they have met with Sargsyan many times and have no questions for him. According to them, if they are not received, they will block the streets. During that time, there was also a scuffle between military police and the relatives of the missing.
The latter have gathered in front of the entrance to the MoD and are demanding that the doors be opened. According to information spread by the media, police forces are currently being concentrated in front of the gates of the MoD administrative complex.
