A fake page has been opened in the name of the head of the Food Safety Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia, Tigran Petrosyan, on the WhatsApp application, and a number of messages that do not correspond to reality have been sent. This is reported by the Food Safety Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia.
"We ask you not to respond to any message coming from Mr. Petrosyan's name and to inform the FSIA hotline at the 24-hour telephone number 118 about it.
The purpose of such a practice is to commit fraud or theft by abusing the trust in an official, to illegally obtain information constituting a banking secret, as well as to compel employees of various state institutions to use their official powers to the detriment of state or service interests.
We ask you to be vigilant and, in order to avoid such fraudulent activities, not to respond to any suspicious messages," the statement said.
