In January-July 2025, the European Union transferred 10.1 billion euros to Ukraine from the income generated from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia. This is reported by the newspaper "Welt am Sonntag," citing data from the European Commission.
In March, May, June, and July, the Ukrainian government received 1 billion euros each month from the profits of frozen Russian assets, 3 billion euros in January, and 3.1 billion euros in April.
On August 11, the European Commission received the third tranche of income seized from the reinvestment of blocked Russian assets, amounting to 1.6 billion euros.
The European Commission had earlier stated that 95% of these funds would be directed to payments on international loans provided to Ukraine, including those provided by the European Union and its members, while the remaining 5% would be transferred to "Ukraine's urgent military needs."
