EU Proposes Tariffs on 37% of Israeli Exports Over Gaza

The European Commission has proposed imposing tariffs on 37% of goods exported from Israel to the EU due to the military operation in the Gaza Strip.

"In 2024, the trade turnover with Israel amounted to 42.6 billion euros. A preferential regime was in effect for 37 percent of goods exports. The elimination of that regime will be costly for Israel," stated the head of EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas.
