EU Special Rep Discusses Nakhichevan in Baku

The European Union's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, has held high-level consultations in Baku. This is reported by Azerbaijani media. She met with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, and other officials. The Azerbaijani-Armenian peace agenda was discussed at the meeting.

"The EU is strongly committed to working with Azerbaijan and Armenia to maintain and secure the momentum from the Washington meeting, so that the benefits of peace are felt throughout the region," Grono stated.

According to the Special Representative, the main topic of the negotiations was Nakhichevan; views were also exchanged on communications, regional cooperation, and humanitarian issues.
