EU Concerned as French Instability Threatens the Bloc

Concerns are growing in the European Union regarding the deep internal political crisis in France. European diplomats fear that the instability within France could seriously weaken President Emmanuel Macron's position on the international stage, particularly on issues related to Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. According to Politico, prolonged political instability in France could threaten the entire Eurozone economy.
These fears are not unfounded, as France is the EU's second-largest economy, a leading G7 country, the European Union's only nuclear power, and a permanent member of the UN Security Council. Under President Macron, France, along with Germany, has become one of the key forces shaping the political course of the European Union.
Against the backdrop of recent events, including the resignation of Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu, some diplomats in Brussels have already begun to talk about Macron's "political obituary." According to them, he is becoming a "lame duck" whose influence is "rapidly melting away." It is noted that personnel changes in the French government are complicating the ongoing negotiations on the EU budget.
The situation could become even more complicated if the right-wing "National Rally" party comes to power in the event of early parliamentary elections. Such a development could further deepen the political crisis and further delay the decision-making processes of pan-European importance. Taking all this into account, the political turbulence in Paris is a direct threat not only to the stability and unity of France but also to the entire European Union, casting doubt on the EU's ability to respond effectively to global challenges.
