On September 19 and 20, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, will visit Armenia. The EU Delegation to the RA reports this. The visit is taking place at a crucial stage in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and will provide an opportunity to present the EU's interregional connectivity agenda as a real contribution to regional development.
Commissioner Kos will meet with President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, as well as Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan. She will participate in the signing ceremony of two projects with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, visit the implementation site of the "EU for Sevan" program (EU4SEVAN) biodiversity project, and tour the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies.
The Commissioner will also meet with civil society organizations, women leaders, and young European ambassadors.
It should be noted that at this moment the EU Commissioner is in Baku and has had a meeting with Ilham Aliyev. The high-ranking EU representative discussed both bilateral and regional topics with the President of Azerbaijan.
