The expansion of the railway network between Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey will have a positive impact on regional trade, strengthening cooperation and economic ties between all countries of the South Caucasus.
This was stated by the President of Turkey in his address at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Kars-Iğdır-Aralık-Dilucu railway line.
According to Erdoğan, the railway will connect the basins of the Caspian and Mediterranean Seas. The Turkish president expressed confidence that the new route will have a tangible impact on the region's tourism and trade.
