Turkish President Recep Erdoğan traveled to Azerbaijan on November 8, where he made a series of noteworthy statements, addressing both the results of the Karabakh conflict and the peace process with Armenia.
In his speech in Baku, the Turkish leader highly praised the results of the 44-day war, considering them an achievement not only for Azerbaijan but for the entire Turkic world. "The 'liberation' of Karabakh is a source of pride for the Turkic world. The victory in Karabakh is written in golden letters in the history of the Turkic world, in our common history," Erdoğan declared.
At the same time, he touched upon the prospects for establishing lasting peace in the region, giving a positive assessment to the efforts of both Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. "We expect a lasting peace," the Turkish president noted.
He added: "We appreciate the sincere efforts of Ilham Aliyev and welcome Pashinyan's brave steps on that path."
The official agenda of Erdoğan's visit includes the discussion of regional and global issues during the mentioned bilateral meetings. Within the framework of his visit, bilateral meetings are planned with the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
