Public criminal prosecution initiated against ENA inspector for fraud

Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against an inspector of a branch of the ENA. During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated in the Department for Investigation of General and Electoral Crimes of the General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee, it was found and substantiated that G.Kh., being an inspector of one of the branches of the ENA from June 6, 2024, to September 15, 2025, with the unified intention of embezzling large amounts of property by fraud, presented inflated electricity costs that did not correspond to reality, instead of the actual readings recorded by the metering device that accounted for the electricity consumption for the lighting of several streets of the settlement in his service area.

As a result, G.Kh. caused property damage to the community municipality in the amount of 1,102,288 AMD, which is a large amount.

Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the latter under Article 255, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code (fraud in large amounts). G.Kh. has been arrested. The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings is ongoing.
