Elon Musk Launches New “American Party”

"Do you want a new political party? You will get it," wrote billionaire Elon Musk on social media.

"As for bankrupting our country with extravagance and bribery, we live in a one-party system, not in a democracy. Today, the American Party was formed to return your freedom," he noted.

Musk greatly contributed to Donald Trump's election for a second term, but later distanced himself from the Trump administration, left his post as the head of the "Department of Government Efficiency" team he created, and got into a heated argument with Trump himself on social media over the new budget. Congress approved the budget, and Trump signed it on US Independence Day. Musk criticized Trump's budget for its extravagance and for increasing the national debt.
