Almost at the same time, a similar announcement was made from Jerusalem. Israeli President Isaac Herzog has announced that he will award Donald Trump the country's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal. As reported by the Ynet news agency, this decision was made in appreciation of "the historic agreement for the release of all hostages, the end of the war, and his full and unwavering support for Israel."
