Earthquake Near Makhachkala Felt in Armenia's Tavush Province

On August 27, at 00:33 local time (on August 26 at 20:33 GMT), a 5.5 magnitude earthquake was registered at a depth of 10 km, 75 km southeast of the city of Makhachkala. This is reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was 7-8 points.

The earthquake was felt with an intensity of 2-3 points in a number of communities in the Tavush province.
