Trump Claims His Tariff Threats Are Forcing Countries Out of BRICS

US President Donald Trump believes that his threats to impose customs duties on the member countries of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) have produced the desired result. He stated that thanks to his tough stance, countries have begun to refuse to join the association.

"I said that if anyone wants to be in BRICS, there is nothing extraordinary about that as such, but we will impose customs duties on your country, and everyone got out. Everyone is getting out of BRICS," Trump noted.

It is noteworthy that in September of this year, an online BRICS summit was held. It was dedicated to discussing the activation of economic partnership between the member countries in response to the tariff policy applied by Washington.
