Domestic Violence Cases Rise in Armenia, MIA Reports

"2,117 reports of domestic violence cases have been recorded. In this regard, there were 1,675 reports in 2024," Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan said in the National Assembly.

In 9 months, domestic violence cases increased by 442 compared to the previous year. Warnings were issued in 499 cases, which also marks an increase. Decisions for urgent intervention were made in 1,405 cases, whereas last year there were 907. 1,619 registration cards were compiled for perpetrators, compared to 1,128 last year.
