Diocesan Primate Arrested, Over a Dozen Priests Detained

Arrests and searches in the Aragatsotn diocese. 12 priests and the Primate of the diocese, His Grace Mkrtich, were detained after their apartments were searched. Later, lawyer Ara Zohrabyan sounded the alarm that the Primate of the Aragatsotn diocese was being taken into custody. According to Zohrabyan, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the bishop in connection with rallies, as well as for allegedly influencing the results of the vote.
