Denmark to Russia: "Back Off" After Airspace Violation

Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen has stated that Russia must immediately cease its provocative and aggressive actions.

"Russia's neighbors have a fully justified concern that they could become the next target. Denmark fully supports Estonia's territorial integrity. Russian provocations must stop. That is why today we are appealing to the Russian Federation: back off. Back off. Choose a different path," Rasmussen stated.

According to him, Russia cannot create unmanageable uncertainty and chaos in places where it wishes.

"Violations of airspace undermine the fundamental principles of international law that serve all of us," added the high-ranking Danish diplomat.
