On Sunday morning, a daring robbery took place at the Louvre Museum in Paris: a group of criminals broke into the "Apollo Gallery" hall and stole "priceless" jewelry from the collection of the French crown jewels. The thieves broke in through a window using a construction crane and an angle grinder, took out the jewelry in just seven minutes, and disappeared on scooters, reports The Guardian.
According to media reports, nine items were stolen from the showcases, including a necklace, a brooch, and a crown, which supposedly belonged to Napoleon Bonaparte and his wife, the Empress.
The museum was closed for one day in connection with the incident.
