CSTO, CIS, and SCO Sign Cooperation Roadmap in Beijing

The CSTO, CIS, and SCO will take steps to develop cooperation between the associations. This position was fixed in Beijing by signing a "roadmap."

The CSTO press service reported this on September 3. According to the same source, a meeting of senior administrative officials of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation took place in Beijing within the framework of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO and the SCO+ format.

The event was attended by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev, and SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev.

"Proposals for the further development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of regional security, as well as countering new challenges and threats, were discussed," the CSTO press service noted.
