Criminal Case Opened Over Alleged Clergy Phone Tapes

Criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with recordings of telephone conversations attributed to clergymen. This is reported by the Investigative Committee.

It is noted that based on the report, criminal proceedings have been initiated under the characteristics of Article 236, Part 3 of the Criminal Code (obstructing or coercing participation in a gathering by using official powers or the influence derived from them, as well as providing material incentives for participating in or refusing to participate in a gathering).
