Criminal Case Opened for Mass Riots in Gyumri

"In order to obstruct the ongoing investigative actions, a group of individuals gathered at the entrances of the Gyumri municipality administrative building and inside the administrative building, who, by carrying out various actions, interfered with the investigation of the case and committed mass riots threatening public security," the statement said.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated on charges of participating in mass riots, interfering with the legal official or political activities of an official, and interfering with the administration of justice or the investigation of a case.

It is recalled that 23 people were arrested from near the Gyumri city hall and taken to regional divisions of the Community Police. The Ministry of Internal Affairs told the media about this.
