Court Extends Archbishop Galstanyan's Detention by 3 Months

Yerevan's First Instance Criminal Court Judge Karen Farkhoyan extended the pre-trial detention of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan by 3 months. Judge Karen Farkhoyan stated that the risks of obstruction and committing a crime are high, and alternative preventive measures cannot ensure the proper conduct of the accused.

Galstanyan responded to the court's decision. "After Lidia Mantashyan's detention was extended, I should have buried myself in the ground from shame if I had gotten out of that environment. Thank you for not taking that step," Archbishop Bagrat told the judge.
