The Anti-Corruption Court, with its decision on October 7, satisfied the claim of the General Prosecutor's Office against the former Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, Hasmik Poghosyan: 25 million 252 thousand drams will be confiscated in favor of the Republic of Armenia as damages caused to the state.
According to the factual circumstances of the case, the damage was caused as a result of the improper execution of contracts signed in 2007 and 2008 between the former Minister of Culture of the RA, Hasmik Poghosyan, and the "Gugark" company for carrying out restoration work at the Kobayravank monastic complex under the "Monument Restoration Program."
The court found the Prosecutor's Office's arguments regarding the presence of unlawful conduct by Hasmik Poghosyan in connection with the two contracts to be well-founded and satisfied the claim.
