Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the sports school named after Albert Azaryan in Yerevan. Official sources report this. The sports school is being built next to the "Hrazdan" stadium.
It is designed for about 300 athletes. The government has allocated 6.9 billion drams for the construction of the sports school.
The budget includes the project of the new sports school, construction works, author's and technical supervision, sports equipment, interior decoration, and infrastructure formation.
The sports school will have a gym for special sports (rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatics), a universal gym with a tribune for 532 spectators, household areas, changing rooms and bathrooms, administrative and service areas, and a parking lot for 88 cars.
It is planned to complete the construction of the sports school in November 2026. The new complex will host the European Gymnastics Championships, which will be held in Armenia for the first time in 2027.
