Housing Support for Displaced from NK: Citizenship Required
28 AUG 2025 08:22
The government has approved the list of beneficiaries for the state support program for housing provision for certain families forcibly displaced from NK. The project proposes to make monthly repayments (principal and interest) on mortgage loans provided to the Program's beneficiaries who have acquired RA citizenship through "AMIO BANK" using the RA state budget funds, as the monthly repayments on these loans have not been made since September 2023, which could lead to a process of repaying loan obligations through property foreclosure.
The total loan obligation is 2 billion 748 million 446 thousand drams, including interest payments over 10 years, of which about 121 million 444 thousand drams will be required for repayments in 2025; the specified amount will be provided from the 2025 budget of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
For beneficiaries who do not have RA citizenship at the time of the decision's adoption, the mortgage loan repayment process will start after they acquire RA citizenship, from the 20th of the following month.
