Charles Aznavour Statue Unveiled in Yerevan

The opening ceremony of Charles Aznavour's monument took place in Yerevan. The statue was unveiled by the mayor of Yerevan, the chansonnier's son, and his grandson.

The initiator and funder of the initiative is the Yerevan Municipality.

"We made the choice with the Charles Aznavour Foundation and Aznavour's son, Nicolas, through a commission on what kind of statue should be installed," Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan had stated earlier.
