Catholicos Meets Artsakh Officials on Displaced People's Rights

On October 8, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received state officials and representatives of political forces from Artsakh at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, led by the acting president of Artsakh, Ashot Danielyan, and the Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh, His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.
During the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians and the state officials of Artsakh discussed issues related to overcoming the challenges faced by the displaced people of Artsakh and protecting the rights of the Artsakh Armenians.
In this regard, reference was also made to the social support programs implemented by the Mother See and the spiritual care work being carried out with the people of Artsakh in their places of residence. His Holiness emphasized that the Armenian Church will continue to make efforts in this direction.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of taking consistent joint steps on international platforms to voice the rights of the people of Artsakh, to release the hostages and prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan, to find the missing, and to preserve the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh.
In the end, the state officials of Artsakh expressed their filial gratitude and loyalty to the Mother Apostolic Church.
