The water level of the Caspian Sea, which was previously less than 29 meters according to the Baltic Height System, is now continuing to fall. This was stated by the representative of the President of Azerbaijan on climate issues, Mukhtar Babayev.
"Whereas in the past, passenger ferries used to travel on the Caspian Sea between Kazakhstan, Russia, Iran, and Azerbaijan, today the movement of these ferries, one might say, is restricted. And some of them are no longer operating at all, as ships cannot enter the ports," the official noted.
