Burning waste from fallen leaves is prohibited by law. This is reported by the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the RA Law "On the Protection of Atmospheric Air," it is forbidden to burn waste generated from production, consumption, or fallen leaves in the natural environment, in residential areas, in their vicinity, or in other places not intended for their burning, in boiler houses or furnaces, at waste management facilities, in specially allocated places, or in unlicensed landfills.
The RA Code on Administrative Offenses stipulates that burning waste from production and consumption, as well as waste from fallen leaves, in the natural environment, in residential areas, in their vicinity, and in boiler houses, furnaces, and other devices not intended for their burning, results in a warning or a fine for citizens in the amount of fifty times the established minimum wage (50,000 AMD), and for officials, in the amount of two hundred times the minimum wage (200,000 AMD).
