Belgium to Recognise State of Palestine at UN in September

Belgium will recognize the state of Palestine at the September session of the UN General Assembly. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, Maxime Prévot.

"Considering the humanitarian tragedy taking place in Palestine, particularly in Gaza, and the violence carried out by Israel in violation of international law, and considering its international obligations, including the duty to prevent any risk of genocide, Belgium is forced to make tough decisions to increase pressure on the Israeli government and Hamas terrorists," the minister wrote on his X social media page.
