Beijing Holds Victory Day Parade with Putin as Guest of Honor

According to the published plan, during the military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory, military equipment will pass along one of the central avenues towards Tiananmen Square.

The main part of the parade will take place in that very square. The security measures are unprecedented. Suffice it to say that people have been evacuated from residential buildings along the entire route of the equipment's procession.

As a reminder, on September 3, a military parade will be held in Beijing dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people in the War of Resistance against Japan and the end of World War II. This is, in essence, China's Victory Parade.

The main guest of the parade will be Russian President Vladimir Putin.
