In an interview with a Baku media outlet, Gudrat Hasanguliyev, a member of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, stated that the "We Are Our Mountains" monument, which has become a "symbol of Armenian nationalism," must be dismantled. According to him, a "magnificent monument in honor of the Azerbaijani soldier" should be erected in its place.
"Any monument built by Armenian separatists since 1988 must be dismantled," noted Hasanguliyev, forgetting that the "We Are Our Mountains" monument, also known as "Tatik-Papik" (Grandma-Grandpa), was erected in 1967 and has been considered one of the symbols of Artsakh for decades.
