Azerbaijani Experts Share Impressions from Yerevan Visit

After their visit to Armenia, Azerbaijani journalists and experts who were visiting have started to share their impressions of the visit and of Armenia. One of them, Fahrad Mammadov, first pointed out the fact that the Azerbaijanis arrived on an Azerbaijani plane that landed at "Zvartnots." Azerbaijani media outlets have described this event as "a detail that could soon become the norm in bilateral relations." It was emphasized that all details of the meeting, from the flight to the agenda, were discussed exclusively in a bilateral format, without mediators.

The delegation was received on October 22 by the Secretary of the Security Council of the RA, Armen Grigoryan. He highly appreciated meetings in such a format, noting that they are "aimed at positively influencing the establishment of contacts between people." In turn, the Azerbaijani side noted that the meeting was organized at a high level, and the governments have already "created enough content to involve civil society representatives in the peace process."

The Azerbaijani press also commented on the criticisms and insults voiced on some Armenian and Azerbaijani websites, considering it "normal for the current period." According to the Azerbaijani side, there is still much to be done for societies to adapt to the peaceful agenda of the governments.
