Azeri Envoy: Peace Exists "in Practice, Not Just on Paper"

Peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia exists not only on paper but also in practice. As reported by Azerbaijani media, this was stated by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Germany, Nasimi Aghayev.
According to him, the Middle Corridor is of great importance today not only for economic cooperation but also for political rapprochement. "The initialing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington is a historic turning point after decades of conflict. One of the direct results of this progress is the agreement reached on the TRIPP route, which will connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhichevan through the territory of Armenia, and from there to Turkey.
This project is not just a new transport line, but a symbol of a changing region, a symbol of the transition from separation to cooperation, from blockade to interconnectedness. Thus, the Middle Corridor ceases to be just a transit route and becomes a real bridge of peace and development between Europe and Asia," said the Azerbaijani ambassador. He also noted that Azerbaijan lifted all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia this week.
"The first transit shipment was grain sent from Kazakhstan to Armenia, and that operation was successfully completed. This speaks to the fact that peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia exists not only on paper but also in practice. This new reality creates a foundation for open borders, economic cooperation, and common development," he noted.
