Azerbaijan-Born Woman Sentenced to 5 Years in Russia

The Ryazan Regional Court in Russia has sentenced Mehriban Lukinskaya, born in Azerbaijan, to 5 years in prison. This is reported by Mediazona, citing the court's press service.

Lukinskaya was found guilty under Article 275.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (confidential cooperation with a foreign state or international organization).

The details of the case are not being disclosed. According to reports, the criminal case was submitted to the court in May 2025.

55-year-old Lukinskaya was born in Baku and from 2017 to 2021 worked at the Ryazan pipe plant, as well as at a plant for the production of heavy forging and pressing equipment. Her relatives and lawyer have refused to give comments to the press.
