Azerbaijan: Armenian Constitution is Obstacle to Peace

Today, Azerbaijan is only one step away from signing a peace treaty with Yerevan, but only one problem is hindering it: the Constitution of Armenia. This was stated by Siyavush Novruzov, the chairman of the regional affairs committee of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan.

According to him, the main obstacle to peace is the territorial claims against Azerbaijan enshrined in the Constitution of Armenia. According to Novruzov, "Armenia once took a non-constructive step."

"The abolition of that provision is the main condition for achieving peace," he emphasized during a parliamentary consultation dedicated to the Day of State Sovereignty.
