Avinyan Condemns Murder of Parakar Community Head

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan wrote on his page:

"We strongly condemn the horrific armed attack in the Merdzavan settlement of the enlarged Parakar community, as a result of which the head of the community Valodya Grigoryan and his friend were killed. We express our deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the victims and to the entire population of the Parakar community.

We wish a speedy and full recovery to the injured person.

The Union of Communities calls on the law enforcement bodies of Armenia to conduct a speedy and full investigation to bring the organizers and perpetrators of the crime to the strictest responsibility.

The Union of Communities reaffirms its full support to all community heads and residents, emphasizing that any violence or intimidation is unacceptable and must receive an adequate legal response."
