Street in Astana to Be Named After Mesrop Mashtots

One of the streets in Astana will be named after Mesrop Mashtots. The ceremony will take place tomorrow.

It should be noted that back in April of last year, during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Yerevan, the issue of establishing a park named after Mashtots in Astana and a park named after the Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbaiuly in Yerevan on the principle of reciprocity was discussed. By the decision of the Yerevan Council of Elders in April of this year, the park located adjacent to Alma-Ata Street in the Avan administrative district was named after the founder of Kazakh literature, Abai Kunanbaiuly.
