Vardapetyan Meets Tajik Counterpart Ahead of CIS Anti-Corruption Summit

On October 2, 2025, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, received the delegation led by Sulaymon Sultonzoda, the Chairman of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the current Chairman of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption.
The delegation arrived in Armenia to participate in the jubilee 10th session of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption, which will be held in Yerevan on October 3, 2025.
Anna Vardapetyan welcomed her colleague to the RA Prosecutor General's Office and emphasized the importance of the bilateral meeting aimed at discussing legal issues of interest to the structures.
"In the context of transferring the chairmanship of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption to Armenia, I thank you for your professional and responsible contribution to strengthening the Council's activities," noted the RA Prosecutor General and highly appreciated the work of the Council's secretariat in achieving the set goals and assisting in the organization of the Council's session.
The Chairman of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan thanked Anna Vardapetyan for the hospitality and emphasized his readiness to develop cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
The Interstate Council on Combating Corruption was established on the basis of the "Agreement on the Formation of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption" signed on October 25, 2013, by the heads of 6 CIS member states, is a body of sectoral cooperation of the CIS, and is accountable to the Council of Heads of State of the CIS.
The members of the Council are the Prosecutors General of Armenia, Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan, the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan, and the Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of Tajikistan.
