Armenian Priest Arrested, Bishop's Home Searched

Father Paren Arakelyan, the spiritual pastor of Saghmosavank, has been arrested. Father Yesayi Artenyan told ArmeniaSputnik about this. Father Yesayi also reported that the house of the leader of the Aragatsotn diocese, Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, was searched.

According to him, the bishop is being taken to the investigative department. It should be noted that the leader of the Aragatsotn diocese is the son of the Catholicos's sister.
