President of Armenia Visits French Embassy on Bastille Day

The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Embassy of France in Armenia on the occasion of the national holiday of the French Republic, Bastille Day. The President congratulated the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies, and through him, President Emmanuel Macron and the friendly people of France, wishing peace, success, and prosperity.

Highlighting the importance of the privileged Armenian-French relations, the two sides, among other issues, paid special attention to decentralized cooperation, in the framework of which the President of the Republic congratulated the ambassador on the opening of the Honorary Consulate of France in Syunik. They also touched upon the deepening of the RA-EU partnership, which includes all areas of bilateral relations.

At the end of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening and expanding bilateral friendly relations.
