Armenian Police Warn of Facebook, Instagram Phishing

If you have received a notification from the administration of the Facebook or Instagram social networks about a violation of the site's rules by you or about the reactivation of your personal account, which requires you to provide your personal account username and password through the sent link to resolve the issues, DO NOT TRUST IT. The police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have disseminated this information.

"In reality, criminals, by creating phishing sites that imitate social networks, are thus trying to access your account, deprive you of access, and subsequently commit other criminal acts: extortion, fraud, etc. Remember that official notifications from the Facebook and Instagram social networks never require you to log in to sites with suspicious links and enter your username or password," the message states in particular.
