After a 25-year hiatus, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra has once again performed in Iran, this time under the ancient walls of Persepolis. The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport reported this.
The exclusive open-air concert was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the orchestra and was held within the framework of cultural cooperation between Armenia and Iran, with the message of centuries-old friendship between the two peoples. The participants of the solemn event were welcomed by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Zhanna Andreasyan.
"Today, the history and culture of two ancient civilizations have united in the backdrop of Persepolis. This anniversary concert, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, is an expression of friendship, mutual respect, and cultural dialogue between our countries," Andreasyan noted.
