Armenian Patrols Log Over 18,500 Traffic Violations in a Week

From October 27 to November 3, during their service in the capital, Yerevan patrols identified 5,165 traffic violations, moving 115 vehicles to a special protected area. This is stated in the summary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Specifically, 176 intoxicated drivers were found, and 251 individuals were driving without a license.
There were 23 violations related to license plates, 1,197 for driving unbuckled, 19 without a child car seat, 629 for smoking while driving, 324 for using a phone while driving, 161 for pedestrians crossing in an undesignated area, and 1,556 other violations. 118 vehicles were operated without a mandatory auto insurance (CMTPL) contract, 230 had not undergone technical inspection, 78 had faulty headlights, and 65 had tinted windshields and side windows. Additionally, 90 individuals were detained on various suspicions and taken to Community Police departments.
During the same period in the regions, patrols identified 13,364 traffic violations, moving 308 vehicles to special protected areas. 210 intoxicated drivers were found, 438 without a driver's license, and 4 driving with a fake registration certificate.
Also identified were 34 violations related to license plates, 6 driving with a fake license plate, 3,368 for driving unbuckled, 172 without a child car seat, 486 for smoking while driving, 584 for using a phone while driving, 100 for pedestrians crossing in an undesignated area, 2,221 for speeding, and 3,326 other violations. 436 vehicles were operated without a mandatory auto insurance contract, 926 had not undergone technical inspection, 867 had faulty headlights, including 49 trucks, and 143 had tinted windshields and side windows. Additionally, 44 individuals were detained on various suspicions and taken to regional Community Police departments.
