30 SEP 2025 06:28
Some media outlets, not possessing the situation and information, claim that allegedly no meeting took place yesterday at the Ministry of Defence with the citizens holding a protest near the MOD administrative complex.
Let's note that immediately at the start of the protest, the Ministry of Defence offered a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Defence, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, Arman Sargsyan, and then with the Head of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Temur Shahnazaryan.
The participants of the protest insisted that they wanted to meet with the Chief of the General Staff and a number of persons discharged from the Armed Forces.
Chief of the General Staff Edvard Asryan received the citizens, the meeting lasted several hours.
Let's also report that the MOD employees showed a respectful attitude towards the participants of the protest, no case of brute force was recorded against them. At the same time, we consider it necessary to emphasize that some participants of the protest threw bottles at the military police officers, as well as resorted to various other actions with other objects (videos are available), in response to which the actions of the MP officers continued to remain respectful.
