On November 24, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, met with the heads of American transnational semiconductor companies operating in Armenia in a business breakfast format.
The discussion focused on practical issues related to the development of the semiconductor industry and procedures for controlling the export and import of technologies. During the meeting, reference was also made to the new opportunities arising from the "Innovative Partnership in Artificial Intelligence and the Semiconductor Sector" memorandum signed between Armenia and the US in Washington on August 8, and the upcoming steps in this context.
The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of events in such a format as a platform for ensuring an open, effective, and continuous dialogue between the state and the private sector. At the end of the meeting, agreements were reached to continue joint work and develop coordinated approaches that will contribute to the development of Armenia's technological ecosystem and increase its international competitiveness.
It should be noted that the business breakfast was organized at the initiative of the "Investment Support Center" foundation. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Ruben Simonyan, as well as representatives from Synopsys, AMD, CISCO, Emerson (NI), Siemens, the "Investment Support Center," and technology sector unions.
